Heart. It's the central hub of our being. The place where we process our thoughts, feelings, and attitudes. It's where character is forged and decisions are made. So, as Christ-followers, we have to be vigilant about protecting and cultivating the heart. Proverbs 4:23 says, "Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life."
We'll be looking at different characteristics or virtues that need to be developed, as well as tendencies that need to be weeded out. This series presents a golden opportunity for us to look inward and do some year-end / New Year's inventory on who we really are in the secret places of the heart. In the gospels, Jesus explains that everything we say or do springs from the condition of our heart. It is where the very course of our life is determined. Check out our services throughout the months of December and January as we discuss matters of the heart.
